About the SEC
With Texas joining in 2024–25, the SEC has become a true national-title contender from top to bottom. The Longhorns headline a conference also featuring traditional powers Kentucky and Florida and a rising Texas A&M program.
SEC play opens in late September and runs into November. Texas's arrival in 2024 turned every Friday-Sunday weekend into a top-25 swing for the rest of the conference.

Championship history
Texas (three national titles, most recently back-to-back in 2022 and 2023) leads the SEC. Florida reached the 2017 NCAA championship match, and Kentucky has been a perennial top-15 program under Craig Skinner with multiple SEC titles.

Texas–Kentucky has emerged as the SEC's flagship matchup. Texas A&M–LSU and Tennessee–Florida bring strong regional rivalry energy.
