Accuracy first

    Corrections Policy

We fix mistakes quickly, transparently, and on the record.

    Last updated: May 2026

    Our commitment

VolleyTrack tracks 25 Division I programs across hundreds of matches per season. Despite weekly verification, mistakes happen — a date typo, a misspelled name, a TV network that swapped after we published, a stat that's off by one. When they do, our commitment is simple: fix it fast, mark the change visibly, and learn from it.

    How to report an error

The fastest path is email. Send a note to corrections@volleyballschedule.us with the following:

    • The page URL where the error appears
    • The specific text or value that's wrong (copy/paste helps)
    • What it should say
    • A primary source we can verify — a school athletic department page, a conference release, NCAA.com, an AVCA poll, or a verified press release

You don't need a press credential, a degree, or a relationship with us. We treat every report the same — we verify it against the primary source and act.

    Our process

    1. Acknowledge the report within one business day.
    2. Verify against the primary source the reader provided plus at least one independent source where possible.
    3. Push the correction live, typically within 24 hours of verification — faster for time-sensitive items like a TV listing for a match airing that night.
    4. Document the change: factual corrections to articles get a dated correction note at the bottom of the page. Schedule and roster data updates silently because those pages are inherently living documents.
    5. Update the "last reviewed" date on the affected page.

    What counts as a correction

We post a visible correction note for:

    • Wrong dates, opponents, scores, or final results
    • Wrong player or coach names, jersey numbers, positions or class years
    • Wrong rankings, poll positions or tournament seeds
    • Misattributed quotes or sources
    • Wrong TV network or streaming home for a match
    • Wrong venue or city
    • Material misstatements of fact in articles

    What we update silently

Some changes don't get a correction note because the underlying page is by design a living document:

    • Cosmetic typos, broken links, and stylistic edits
    • Routine schedule updates as schools announce new tip-off times or networks
    • Roster updates as players join, leave or change jersey numbers
    • Weekly ranking updates as the AVCA poll is released

    Clarifications vs. corrections

If a passage was technically accurate but easily misread, we publish a clarification instead of a correction. Both are documented in the same way at the bottom of the page.

    Recent corrections

No notable corrections to report at this time. When we publish a correction, it will be listed here for the most recent rolling 90 days and remain visible at the bottom of the corrected page indefinitely.

    Disagreement vs. error

We're happy to be told we're wrong about a fact. We're also happy to receive disagreement with an editorial argument — but disagreement isn't a correction. Opinions about rankings, predictions and player evaluations are clearly labelled as analysis and won't be retracted because a reader disagrees.
