Original analysis of the Oregon Ducks program, coaching staff, and 2026 outlook.
Oregon enters 2026 with a schedule built to test a young Big Ten contender. The Ducks open at home against Utah, travel to the SEMO Tournament and the Big Ten/SEC Volleyball Challenge at Missouri, then spend a weekend in Tempe at the Snyder-Park Classic before Big Ten play opens on the road at Wisconsin and Minnesota. With 14 home dates at Matthew Knight Arena — including Nebraska, Washington and the Oregon State rivalry match — Eugene remains one of the hardest places to play in the conference, and an at-large NCAA Tournament bid is a realistic target.
Oregon volleyball has been an NCAA Tournament regular for more than a decade, reaching the national championship match in 2012 and producing multiple All-Americans and Olympians. The move to the Big Ten placed the Ducks in the deepest conference in the sport, and Matthew Knight Arena has become one of the best atmospheres in West Coast volleyball.
Head coach Matt Ulmer builds Oregon around tempo and balance — a fast middle attack, aggressive serving and a back row that keeps rallies alive. His staff recruits heavily from Pacific Northwest and California club programs and has kept Oregon competitive through the transition into Big Ten play.
Three dates define the 2026 Oregon volleyball schedule: the Oregon State rivalry match on September 20, the Big Ten/SEC Challenge trip to Missouri on September 1, and the November 7 home match against Nebraska. The October East Coast swing to Penn State and Ohio State is the toughest road weekend of the year.
The Oregon Volleyball Schedule 2026 gives the Ducks 29 matches, 14 of them at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene. The season opens August 21 at home against Utah, then Oregon heads to Cape Girardeau, Mo., for the SEMO Tournament against Western Kentucky and host Southeast Missouri on August 28-29. September starts with the Big Ten/SEC Volleyball Challenge at Missouri on September 1, followed by a home pair against LIU and Washington State, a Snyder-Park Classic weekend in Tempe against Arizona State, UC Davis and San Diego, a home date with Portland State, and the in-state rivalry match against Oregon State on September 20. Big Ten play opens on the road at Wisconsin on September 24 and Minnesota on September 26, then Oregon returns to Eugene for Purdue and Illinois. October brings a Michigan State and Michigan road pair, home matches against Indiana and Rutgers, and the season's toughest trip — Penn State on October 23 and Ohio State on October 24. November opens with Maryland and Iowa at home, then the marquee weekend: Nebraska on November 7 and Northwestern on November 8 in Eugene. A Los Angeles trip to USC and UCLA follows before the regular-season finale at home against Washington on November 17. The Big Ten Tournament begins November 20 at the Fishers Event Center in Fishers, Ind. All times listed reflect the schedule as released; local time zones are noted per match.
Oregon volleyball matches are carried on Big Ten Network and BTN+ in 2026, with select non-conference and tournament matches streaming through host-school platforms such as ESPN+ at the SEMO Tournament and the Snyder-Park Classic. The Big Ten/SEC Volleyball Challenge match at Missouri is expected on an ESPN network. Broadcast assignments for Big Ten matches are typically confirmed one to two weeks before first serve at GoDucks.com.

Realistic ceiling: a top-half Big Ten finish, an at-large NCAA Tournament bid and a chance to host an early-round match in Eugene. Floor: a competitive conference record built on holding serve at home.
