NCAA Volleyball Final Four 2026: Tickets, Venue and Travel Guide
Sources reviewed ; current research and later results are reflected in this review.
The 2026 NCAA Division I women's volleyball national semifinals and championship are scheduled for December 17 and 20 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The NCAA and the venue confirm the destination and dates. The teams will earn their places through the tournament. [1] [2]
For fans planning a trip, the first decision is whether you want to attend the event regardless of who qualifies or only if your team advances. Those are different ticket and travel strategies, and neither should begin with a predicted bracket treated as fact.
This guide focuses on practical checks: official ticket routes, session coverage, seating, transport and a realistic itinerary. Prices and remaining inventory can change, so use the current checkout and venue instructions for the final purchase decision.

In this guide
Start with the official ticket route
Use the NCAA's championship ticket pages or the ticket links supplied by the Alamodome event page. The venue identifies Ticketmaster as a purchase route and directs fans to NCAA ticket information. Start there rather than clicking the first sponsored search result. [2] [3]
Check the event name and year before reviewing seats. Similar listings can refer to a single session, a package, another volleyball event or a previous championship. A familiar venue name does not prove that the listing covers what you want.
Keep the final order confirmation, delivery instructions and account details together. For a group, identify who owns the order and how the others will receive their tickets. Sorting that out at home is easier than doing it outside the entrance.
Understand exactly which sessions you are buying
A listing for the semifinals is different from a listing for the championship. An all-session offer should be inspected for the sessions it includes rather than accepted on the strength of its title alone.
Before paying, confirm the date, session description, section, row, seat count and total cost after fees. If you are following one team, consider what happens to your plan if that team is eliminated in the semifinals.
Do not assume that a ticket for one night guarantees access to the other. Read the item details and your confirmation. If the wording is unclear, resolve it through the official seller before completing the purchase.
Choose seats for the view you want
For volleyball, think about what you enjoy watching. A sideline perspective can make offensive patterns and rotations easier to follow. An endline perspective can help you see serving lanes and the width of the block. Elevation can improve your overview of the court.
Those are viewing preferences, rather than a guarantee about a particular section. Use the event-specific seating map and any available view information. A football seating chart or a photograph from another arena configuration may not describe this event accurately.
For a group, agree on the trade-off between proximity, height and total price before shopping. The cheapest separate seats are not necessarily the best option if the point of the trip is watching together.
Check accessibility needs before purchase
If you need accessible seating, companion seating or assistance with entry, begin with the venue's accessibility information and the official seller's relevant options. Do not assume that a general admission description answers those needs.
Ask about the details that matter to your party, such as the route from drop-off to the seat, elevator access and any restrictions on companion arrangements. Keep the response with the ticket confirmation if it affects the booking.
Travel planning should include those requirements too. A hotel described as nearby may still involve a route that does not suit your group. Verify the actual journey rather than relying on a map's straight-line distance.
Build the trip around two competition dates
The semifinals are Thursday, December 17, and the championship is Sunday, December 20. That leaves time between the two competition dates. Decide whether you want to stay for the full weekend or attend only one session.
A fan attending both dates may prefer arriving the day before the semifinals, particularly when flying. That is a planning recommendation, not an event requirement. It gives some margin for travel disruption and avoids making the opening session depend on a same-day arrival.
For the return trip, leave room after the championship rather than assuming a perfectly predictable finish. Volleyball does not have a fixed game clock, and leaving immediately after match point may not match the experience you want from the trip.

Choose accommodation by the real journey
Compare hotels using the route you will actually take to the Alamodome. Check walking directions, transport options, parking charges and any mobility needs. “Downtown” is a broad description, not a promise of a short or convenient trip.
Read cancellation terms carefully if your attendance depends on a particular team qualifying. A slightly higher flexible rate can be more useful than a lower nonrefundable price when the uncertainty is real.
Coordinate before booking as a group. Agree on the number of nights, room arrangements and who is paying which costs. Avoid a situation where one person books through Sunday while another assumes everyone is leaving after the semifinals.

Make transport a separate line in the budget
Your ticket is only one part of the cost. Add flights or driving expenses, lodging, local transport, parking, meals and any ticket fees. Compare the full trip before deciding a seat price is affordable.
If driving, check the venue's event-specific parking information close to the date. The Alamodome page lists parking and drop-off guidance, but some event details remain subject to updates. Do not assume a lot price or opening time from a different event. [2]
If using rideshare, choose a meeting point based on the venue's official guidance. Plan the return journey as well as the arrival. A large crowd leaving together can make an improvised pickup less convenient than it looked on the map.
Bags, entry and mobile tickets
Read the venue's current security and bag policies before packing for the session. A bag that works for ordinary travel may not meet event-entry rules. Check permitted items and any special instructions relevant to your party.
For mobile tickets, follow the seller's delivery and entry instructions. Add tickets to the appropriate supported wallet when instructed and make sure the phone is charged. Do not assume that a screenshot substitutes for a ticket using changing entry technology.
Share the plan with everyone attending. One person understanding the entry process is not enough if the group separates before arriving. Keep the venue address, session details and a meeting point available without requiring a last-minute search.
What if your team has not qualified yet?
Separate an event trip from a team-dependent trip. If you would enjoy the championship regardless of the field, you can evaluate the current official offers on that basis. If you only want to attend with your team, flexibility becomes more valuable.
Do not purchase travel because a prediction places your team in a favorable region. The bracket, match outcomes and advancement all remain uncertain until they happen. Our tournament predictions are labeled analysis for exactly that reason.
If you wait for qualification, accept that prices and availability may change. That is a trade-off to weigh, rather than something this guide can eliminate with a promise about future inventory.
Resale requires careful reading
If considering a resale listing, check the seller platform's terms, delivery timing, seat details and stated protections. Compare the total after fees with the official route. A low initial number can become a different price at checkout.
Avoid private payment requests that move you away from a platform's stated purchase process. Keep the transaction and documentation within the seller's recognized system so you understand what the terms actually cover.
For fans using our site's ticket navigation, distinguish a general ticket marketplace from an event-specific listing. You still need to select the correct championship, date and session. No general ticket button guarantees that a particular seat is available.
Use a shared budget before anyone pays
For a group trip, create one estimate showing the ticket session, lodging nights, transport and likely shared costs. Mark what is refundable and who will place each booking. That prevents one person committing to a plan the others understood differently.
Agree on what happens if someone cannot travel or if the trip was conditional on a team's qualification. You do not need a complicated contract to make the expectations clear. A written note before purchase is easier than trying to reconstruct the conversation after several nonrefundable bookings.
Keep an allowance for ordinary travel expenses rather than using every available dollar on the ticket itself. Meals, local journeys and unexpected changes can affect the weekend even when the event arrangements work perfectly. A trip with some budget margin is easier to enjoy than one dependent on every estimate being exact.
A useful final-week checklist
Confirm the session and travel dates, check ticket delivery, review the venue's entry information and verify transport. Recheck the current event times because operational and broadcast schedules can be updated.
Send your group one concise plan with the hotel, meeting point and ticket arrangement. Leave enough arrival time for security and finding the seats. If you want to watch warmups or introductions, plan around that preference rather than treating first serve as your arrival target.
Then enjoy the event you planned for. A clear session choice, an official purchase route and realistic travel margins remove many of the avoidable problems. The volleyball itself can supply the uncertainty.
